MHUMC is an inclusive church. As a member of the Reconciling Ministries Network, this means all are welcome regardless of gender identity. In addition, we welcome people from all faith and cultural communities to participate in worship, study, and outreach. We are a relaxed group, wearing anything from shorts-and-flipflops to business suits, being respectful in the worship environment.
Our worship service begins at 10am Sunday mornings, and runs for about an hour to an hour and 15 minutes. We include a mixture of traditional and contemporary music, sung by our choir and by the congregation, as well as time for prayer and a thought-provoking sermon. As Methodists, we encourage development of Christian faith based on four key sources - scripture, tradition, reason, and experience.
Children’s Sunday School meets every Sunday during the 10am service, after the children have participated in the opening activities of the service. The classes typically follow the same general themes and stories as the scriptures for worship. Each class is led by a team of teachers and supported with volunteers from the whole church.
We have a Sunday School aide, Bennett, who assists the day’s designated teacher and provides continuity for the children. We need an additional two teachers – one for once a month, and one for “5th Sundays”. If you can help, please contact Jeannie Clayton.

Our street address is easy to find. We’re in downtown Morgan Hill, on Monterey Highway, at the corner of 4th Street.
We have a small parking lot beside the Fellowship Hall, plus some on-street parking near the church. There are two accessible parking spots beside the Fellowship Hall door (on the north side of the church), that are reserved for those with accessible-parking placards or plates.
The downtown parking garage is just a block away on 4th Street, across Monterey Hwy from the church.

We use an email list to send out occasional news and info. If you’re not on the email list and wish to be added, or if you are on the list and wish to be removed, please let us know at office@mhumc.com.

We now have our church directory accessible online! Once you set up the app and create your login (using your email address that you provided to the church), you can view contact information for church members, participants, and staff, on your mobile device as well as online.
To get set up, go to your phone’s App store, search for Instant Church Directory, and download the free app. Use your email address listed in the directory to CREATE A LOGIN the first time you use the app. If you’re not listed in the directory, or have trouble logging in to the app, please contact the church office.
Once you're listed in the directory, you can also view the directory from your desktop computer. Go to members.instantchurchdirectory.com/ and enter the email address you provided to the directory, and your password.
